News Corp. (NWS) said Thursday it will match the US government's one-time $1,000 contribution to Section 530A accounts for eligible employees, intended to provide a financial head start for American children.
Beginning in July, eligible US employees can enroll in a pilot program under which the US Treasury will deposit $1,000 into a tax-advantaged investment account for each child born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028.
News Corp. said it will add a one-time $1,000 supplemental match for participating employees.
