Capital Power has appointed Kevin MacIntosh as its new chief financial officer, effective mid-March.

MacIntosh brings over 30 years of experience to the Canadian independent-power producer, having worked in large, complex organizations within the global energy industry, Capital Power said.

Most recently, he served as vice president and controller for Suncor Energy and before that he was Suncor's finance integration lead when the company took operatorship of Syncrude, Capital Power said Thursday.

Prior to that, MacIntosh worked across finance functions in Suncor's downstream and upstream operations, and also held several leadership roles at Irving Oil.

He succeeds interim CFO Scott Manson, effective March 16. Manson will remain onboard until the end of April to ensure a smooth transition, the company said.
