ChainCatcher 消息，以太坊基金会宣布成立平台团队（Platform Team），目标构建尽可能强大的以太坊平台，使 L1 和 L2 层能够更好地支持用户、应用程序以及所有基于以太坊构建的组织。
改进 L1 和 L2 层之间的关系，从而能够在各个层级之间形成一个相互促进的系统。基金会表示，自五年前首次提出以 Rollup 为中心的路线图以来，围绕以太坊 L1 层已经发展出一个链生态系统。早期 Rollup 的思维模式已被差异化的 L2 层网络所取代，每个 L2 层都拥有独特且有价值的经济体系，从而将以太坊的核心特性扩展到数百万用户。
随着以太坊的日趋成熟，基金会认为必须采取更多措施，构建一个能够充分发挥以太坊系统（L1 + L2）独特优势的统一平台。这包括提升 L2 的价值主张，优化 L2 的普及驱动机制，使其更广泛地为以太坊创造价值，引导生态系统向更安全、无需许可的架构发展，并简化用户和机构采用以太坊的流程。
更重要的是，构建强大的以太坊意味着推动技术改进，以强化和增强以太坊的核心特性及其独有优势。
