Mercer Global Advisors, a large registered investment advisory firm based in Denver, has brought on two prominent industry veterans as managing partners to oversee large markets on each coast. The firm has tapped Abby Salameh to lead the New Jersey and Philadelphia markets, and Chris Walters to head Mercer's operation in San Diego.

Mercer explains that its managing partners "operate as CEOs" in the markets they lead, overseeing client experience, growth strategy, and talent development. "Their mandate is to build a highly local boutique that reflects the needs of the communities they serve," Mercer says.

"We believe deeply that a high-caliber family-office experience can only be delivered by locally empowered market teams that attract the best fiduciary talent and create a culture of genuine teamwork," says Mercer President Daniel Gourvitch.

With the addition of Salameh and Walters, Mercer now has 21 managing partners. Both are longtime industry hands who have held a variety of leadership roles with prominent firms and take over responsibility for regions Mercer calls "key growth markets."

Salameh has served as chief marketing officer at Hightower Advisors and CAIS, and most recently served as chief growth officer at RFG Advisory until leaving that firm in December 2025.

"This is an incredible opportunity to build and lead at a pre-eminent fiduciary firm in a community that I care so much about, and to do it as part of a deeply collaborative leadership team," Salameh says of her move to Mercer.

Walters' resume includes stints as a managing director at GenSpring Family Offices and chief advisory officer at Savant Wealth Management. He also founded the consultancy Lighthouse Wealth Advisory.

Walters says his new role with Mercer offers an "opportunity to join an incredible team in San Diego, accelerate our local impact and deliver institutional-grade capabilities to our community."
