ChainCatcher 消息，欧洲中央银行管理委员会成员、德国联邦银行行长 Joachim Nagel 在德国美国商会发表讲话表示，推出以欧元计价的稳定币可以为个人和企业提供低成本的跨境支付服务，并应对美元稳定币带来的美元化风险。
Joachim Nagel 指出，若国内货币被美元稳定币取代，将等同于相关经济体的美元化，可能严重削弱国内货币政策的有效性及欧洲主权。目前欧洲中央银行正评估在非中央银行货币中使用分布式账本的可能性，包括代币化存款和欧元稳定币，并计划在 2029 年推出数字欧元。此外，欧洲中央银行也在开发批发型 CBDC，以允许金融市场机构参与者执行可编程交易。
