“智飞”号搭载国内自主研发的智能航行核心系统，是国内首艘面向商业运营的智能运输货船，具备人工驾驶、远程遥控、无人自主航行三种模式。
据央视新闻报道，全国首艘投入商业运营的智能航行集装箱船舶“智飞”号2月21日凭借无人自主航行模式，精准靠泊山东港口青岛港自动化码头泊位，这标志着我国首次实现集装箱船舶航行、靠泊、作业的全流程无人化。“智飞”号精准就位后，通过真空式自动系泊系统搭载的真空吸盘强力吸附船体，全程无需人工系缆，不到30秒便将船舶稳稳固定于泊位。随后，码头全自动化装卸设备同步高效运转，自主研发的码头智能管控系统（A-TOS）、设备智能控制系统（A-ECS）协同发力，以“毫秒级”响应速度指挥自动化桥吊、自动导引车等精准联动，完成集装箱装卸作业。
