Nvidia Earnings, PPI: What to Watch Next Week -- WSJ

Investors next week will focus on a quarterly update from Nvidia, whose results have become a bellwether for the broader artificial-intelligence trade. They also will assess the health of the American consumer through confidence data and earnings from home-improvement retailers Home Depot and Lowe's. The week is set to conclude with the release next Friday of the January producer-price index, providing a look at wholesale inflation as Fed officials monitor whether price pressures are cooling sufficiently ahead of their mid-March policy meeting.

Monday, Feb. 23

-- Earnings: Domino's Pizza, Dominion Energy, Hims & Hers Health

-- Economic data: Manufacturers' shipments, inventories and orders for December

-- Fed speeches: Federal Reserve governor Christopher Waller will give a speech on the U.S. economic outlook at 8 a.m. ET in Washington.

Tuesday, Feb. 24

-- Earnings: Home Depot, Constellation Energy, Keurig Dr Pepper

-- Economic data: The Census Bureau will publish its wholesale trade report, featuring data on sales and inventories for December. The Conference Board will release consumer confidence figures for February. The S&P Case-Shiller home price index for December is also expected.

-- Fed speeches: Waller is set to speak on technology at a conference in Boston at 9:15 a.m. Fed governor Lisa Cook will deliver a speech about artificial intelligence and productivity at 9:30 a.m. in Washington.

Wednesday, Feb. 25

-- Earnings: Nvidia, Salesforce, Lowe's, TJX, Paramount Skydance, Snowflake

Thursday, Feb. 26

-- Earnings: Intuit, Dell, CoreWeave, Vistra, Hormel Foods, Equifax

-- Economic data: Initial jobless claims

-- Fed testimony: Fed Vice Chair Michelle Bowman will testify before the Senate Banking Committee at 10 a.m.

Friday, Feb. 27

-- Economic data: The Bureau of Labor Statistics will release the producer-price index for January at 8:30 a.m. The Census Bureau will release data on construction spending from November and December.

Saturday, Feb. 28

-- Earnings: Berkshire Hathaway CEO Greg Abel will release his inaugural annual shareholder letter, which will coincide with the company's fourth-quarter results and its 2025 annual report.
