印尼国家石油天然气公司（Pertamina）表示，在两国贸易协定达成后，从美国进口能源产品仍将通过招标程序进行。印尼和美国上周四敲定了一项贸易协议，将美国的征税从32%降至19%。 印尼计划从美国进口384亿美元的商品和服务，其中包括150亿美元的能源商品进口。计划进口的能源将包括原油、液化石油气和燃料产品。Pertamina 首席执行官Simon Aloysious Mantiri告诉记者：关于从美国进口能源的计划，我们将像往常一样通过招标和投标开展业务，不会直接指定。曼蒂里说，贸易协议达成后，从美国进口的液化石油气可能从目前占 Pertamina 年进口量的 57% 上升到 70%。去年，印尼国家石油公司与埃克森美孚、雪佛龙和KDT Global Resources等多家公司签署了谅解备忘录。这个东南亚国家表示，它的目标是将能源进口从新加坡、中东和非洲来源转向增加从美国进口。
