Honda Motor (HMC) suspended operations at its manufacturing facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, following a surge of violence in the country after security forces killed of major cartel leader Nemesio "El Mencho" Oseguera, the Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing the automaker.
The company said it suspended operations "out of an abundance of caution" in Guadalajara, a manufacturing hub for several global carmakers, according to the report.
Honda did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
