Wells Fargo Advisors has recruited the Weikes Slattery Group from J.P. Morgan Securities, where the team managed $3.1 billion in client assets. The practice, led by Liz Weikes and John Slattery, joined Wells Fargo on Thursday.
Weikes says the move to join Wells Fargo "positions us to provide even greater flexibility, broader investment solutions, and enhanced support to meet the evolving needs of our clients." spokeswoman for J.P. Morgan declined to comment on the departure.
The Weikes Slattery Group is based in New York City and maintains a presence in San Diego and Palo Alto, Calif. The practice serves ultrahigh-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions. Wells Fargo says the group produced about $17 million in annual revenue with J.P. Morgan.
In addition to the practice's two namesake leaders, the Weikes Slattery Group includes Executive Director Joe Gillan, Vice Presidents Kevin Eisenberg and Bernadette Bucchere, and Clarke Eastman-Pinto, an associate.
Weikes entered the industry in 2009 as a broker with J.P. Morgan, registering as an investment advisor in 2009. She is dually registered with Wells Fargo.
Slattery is an industry veteran who broke into the sector with Merrill Lynch in 1994 and did stints at UBS, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley before joining J.P. Morgan in 2018.
