1343 ET - The Fed's vice chair for supervision, Michelle Bowman, tells senators in a hearing that a proposal to align U.S. bank regulation with the international Basel III standard will arrive by the end of March. Bowman says that the three major federal bank regulators--the Fed, the FDIC and the OCC--have reached a consensus on a proposal. GOP Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota points out that the project has been a long time coming. A previous Basel III push under former VCS Michael Barr fell through. "I think we've been working at record speed," Bowman says, referring to herself and her fellow Trump-selected heads of the FDIC and the OCC. (matt.grossman@wsj.com; @mattgrossman)
