据三位知情人士透露，任天堂计划逐步解除战略性持股，这将导致包括三菱日联银行和京都银行在内的多个股东将出售这家“超级马里奥”游戏制造商的股份。
其中两位消息人士称。此次股份出售预计总额将达约 3000 亿日元（约合 19 亿美元），任天堂可能最快在周五就做出决定。这些消息人士还表示，这家位于京都的游戏公司还计划进行股票回购。
上述两家银行都已制定了减少交叉持股的政策。2019 年，他们与其他机构一起参与了任天堂股票的出售，总金额达约 710 亿日元。
截至去年 9 月，京都银行（一家地区性银行）持有任天堂 4.19%的股份。而三菱日联则通过一家信托银行持有 3.62%的股份。
近年来，日本监管机构和东京证券交易所一直鼓励日本企业解除交叉持股的情况。
