Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) has confirmed the death of an employee from a contracting company following an incident at its MATSA operations in Spain, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The company has temporarily suspended operations at the site and is working with Spanish authorities to investigate the incident, the filing said.
