2月26日消息，据美联社报道，美国外卖巨头DoorDash周三宣布，将停止在卡塔尔、新加坡、日本和乌兹别克斯坦的运营。
这家总部位于旧金山的送餐公司表示，做出这一决定是经过数月对各国具体情况的评估后做出的。DoorDash表示，公司希望将投资重点放在能够建立可持续规模和长期市场领导地位的地区。
DoorDash国际部门负责人Miki Kuusi在一份声明中表示：我们的首要任务是支持我们的团队和合作伙伴有序过渡，同时专注于我们能够提供最佳产品并为长期成功奠定基础的地区。
DoorDash进入部分受影响市场的时间较晚。该公司于2021年才在日本开展业务，比其竞争对手Uber Eats晚了五年。去年被DoorDash收购的英国外卖公司Deliveroo，直到2022年才开始在卡塔尔运营。这比总部位于迪拜的Talabat在卡塔尔开展外卖业务晚了近十年。
DoorDash 还面临着来自新加坡的 GrabFood 和 Foodpanda 以及乌兹别克斯坦的俄罗斯公司 Yandex Eats 等根深蒂固的竞争对手的激烈竞争。
DoorDash表示，预计这些举措不会影响其财务预期。该公司股价在午盘交易中上涨了5%。
DoorDash是美国领先的送餐服务商，但在国际市场上一直落后于Uber Eats。除了收购Deliveroo之外，DoorDash还在2021年收购了芬兰送餐服务公司Wolt，以拓展欧洲市场。
