美国运通（American Express）已选择纽约市曼哈顿下城的世贸中心2号楼作为其新的全球总部。

　　这家全球支付公司周三表示，该建筑预计将于2031年完工，美国运通计划成为这栋面积200万平方英尺、55层高大楼的唯一所有者和入驻者。该公司称，该大楼将能容纳10000人。

　　美国运通自1986年以来一直将其总部设在目前的维西街200号（200 Vesey Street），并计划在新大楼完工前将总部保留在原址。

　　虽然该公司没有透露新总部的造价，但表示该项目预计将为纽约市经济贡献约59亿美元，为纽约州整体经济贡献63亿美元。计划于今年春季开始施工。
