Chinese electric vehicle makers have started increasing their prices in Thailand after the end of EV subsidies in the Southeast Asian kingdom, Nikkei Asia reported Thursday.
For instance, BYD's (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) Dolphin hatchback EV is now priced at 599,000 baht, 33% higher than the lowest price in 2025, the report said.
SAIC Motor's (SHA:600104) MG4 electric hatchback is now 30,000 baht more expensive, among other increases, the report said.
Guangzhou Automobile Group (HKG:2238, SHA:601238), Chery (HKG:9973), and Geely Automobile (HKG:0175) parent Zhejiang Geely have also increased prices, the newspaper said, citing local reports.
