1732 ET - Salesforce tried out a new model for its earnings call as the company faces intense investor scrutiny. The CRM platform hosted a video call, rather than the typical audio-only format, and brought on CEOs of customer companies such as SharkNinja and Wyndham to speak during the call. The moves come as investors have been selling off software stocks over AI-related concerns, with Salesforce considered one of the primary software companies at risk of being pushed into irrelevance by AI models. Shares fall 5.5% after hours. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
