一位白宫高级经济学家将导致美国股市多个板块周一惨遭血洗的人工智能风险报告形容为“科幻小说”。
Citrini Research周末发布的这篇大作设想了一个2028年的世界，彼时机器智能的快速发展极大提高了生产力，但也使大量的人类劳动变得过时，从而引发失业和消费支出塌方并拖累标普500指数等大跌。
白宫经济顾问委员会代理主席Pierre Yared表示，上述文中有关人工智能的高生产力会摧毁就业的说法违背了基本的经济学原理。
“Citrini报告是一部有趣的科幻小说，我也喜欢科幻小说，” Yared在华盛顿的全国商业经济协会发表讲话后接受简短采访时说，“但我认为，如果你仔细读，多想想、认真想想，就会发现它违背了经济学的一些基本等式。”
美国财政部长贝森特经常说，现代经济史表明投资增加后必然有就业增长，而他认为人工智能也会带来同样的结果。
Yared在全国商业经济协会演讲时说，“总体而言，本届政府对人工智能的立场是积极拥抱它”，并确保美国能够在国际上“占据主导地位”。
