Altair Minerals Appoints Drilling Contractor for Maiden Diamond Drilling Program at Guyana Gold Project; Shares Fall 3%

Altair Minerals (ASX:ALR) appointed OGD Drilling (Guyana) as the drill contractor for the upcoming maiden diamond drilling program at its South Oko gold project in Guyana, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The initial drilling program will be focused on the North Peters target, consisting of 3,000 meters to 5,000 meters.

It completed a total of five trenches to date, covering around 1.3 kilometers of strike, with a grab sample of the quartz vein within a trench assaying 7.03 grams per tonne grade of gold.

Its shares fell 3% in recent trading on Wednesday.
