智通财经APP获悉，据知情人士透露，OpenAI正在打造一个全新的代码托管平台，直接对标微软(MSFT.US)旗下的GitHub。
报道称，近几个月来，OpenAI工程师多次遭遇GitHub服务中断、无法正常使用的情况，这最终促使公司决定自研相关产品。
报道指出，该项目目前仍处于早期阶段，距离正式完成尚需数月时间。参与项目的员工已考虑未来向OpenAI客户推出这款代码仓库产品并提供付费使用。
截至发稿，OpenAI、GitHub及微软均未立即回应置评请求。
分析称，若OpenAI果真将该产品推向市场，这将标志着这家ChatGPT的创造者迈出大胆一步，直接与其主要股东微软同台竞技。
在最新一轮融资中，OpenAI的估值达到了8400亿美元。科技巨头及孙正义旗下的软银均参与了此次高达1100亿美元的巨额融资，这表明尽管近期市场对估值泡沫心存担忧，但人工智能(AI)领域的投资竞赛依然如火如荼。
