ChainCatcher 消息，加密记者 Eleanor Terrett 在社交平台发文表示，美国第二大加密交易平台 Kraken 刚刚完成了一件此前没有任何加密公司做到的事情——获得了美联储的关键准入资格。
Kraken 旗下银行部门 Kraken Financial 已获得堪萨斯城联储批准，开设美联储主账户。这是首次有原生加密公司获得（尽管权限有限）直接接入美联储支付系统的资格。
这一批准距离 Kraken 于 2020 年 10 月向堪萨斯城联储提交申请，已过去五年半时间。该账户允许 Kraken 直接接入美联储支付体系，但不包括美联储贷款工具的使用权。公司可以持有准备金，以央行资金进行清算，但不能发放贷款，使用贴现窗口，作为传统商业银行运营。
据消息人士称，Kraken 的批准被视为一项试点项目，用于测试这一新模式。这一决定对长期被排除在传统银行体系之外的加密行业而言具有历史性意义，也表明美联储态度出现转变。此举可能引发其他加密公司申请美联储主账户的浪潮。Custodia Bank、Anchorage，以及 Ripple 的美国银行合作伙伴均已申请主账户。
