Top cryptocurrencies fell Tuesday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dropping below the $69,000 level.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, fell almost 1.8% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 fell 1.1%, the S&P 500 dropped 1%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 0.9%.
Bitcoin fell 1.7% to $68,199, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume declined 12.4% to $50.31 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, fell 3.6% to $1,971.
XRP (XRP-USD) fell 2.9%, BNB (BNB-USD) lost 0.5%, and Solana (SOL-USD) eased 3.2%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) shed 6.2%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 6.6%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 1.2% in the past 24 hours to $2.33 trillion, with trading volume declining 2% to $139.76billion.
