必和必拓董事长Ross McEwan表示，该公司的几乎所有产品都销往亚洲，因而美伊冲突短期内对其影响不大。

McEwan表示，必和必拓约95%的矿产品最终销往亚洲，那里的贸易路线仍然畅通，但他预计途经中东的某些路线会受到一些影响。
他还称，必和必拓在阿根廷、加拿大和澳大利亚有巨大的采矿机会。
“我们有增长空间，”他说。如果出现有吸引力的收购机会，而且对股东有利，“我们会试一下。”
