1529 GMT - Markets have lowered their bets on Bank of England interest-rate cuts in 2026 due to inflation concerns as oil prices rise. Investors are pricing in "the worst case scenario of a prolonged war in the Middle East and an energy price inflation shock," XTB's Kathleen Brooks says in a note. Markets now only price in the possibility of one 25 basis-point BOE interest-rate reduction in 2026, down from last week's expectations of two rate cuts this year, LSEG data show.
