在美国总统唐纳德·特朗普表示美国将为通行霍尔木兹海峡的油轮提供保险后，原油价格周二有所回落。
布伦特原油期货上涨3.66美元，涨幅为4.71%，收于每桶81.40美元。
纽约商品交易所4月交割的西得州中质原油（WTI）期货价格上涨3.33美元，涨幅为4.67%，收于每桶74.56美元。
上述两种油价在今日早些时候曾一度上涨超过9%。
特朗普在一则社交媒体帖子中表示：“我已命令美国国际开发金融公司立即生效，以非常合理的价格为所有通过海湾的海上贸易，特别是能源贸易，提供政治风险保险和财务安全保障。”
总统表示：“如有必要，美国海军将尽快开始护航油轮通过霍尔木兹海峡。”
由于通过霍尔木兹海峡的油轮运输陷入停滞，本周油价大幅上涨。全球约20%的石油消费需要通过该海峡，出口主要流向中国、印度、日本和韩国。
华尔街大宗商品策略师警告称，如果海峡长期关闭，油价可能飙升至每桶100美元以上。
