0934 ET - MDA Space sees strong runway for growth as global investment in space and defense accelerates. In an analyst call, CEO Mike Greenley sees missions are set to rise by nearly threefold and that space is becoming an "essential military domain," creating a surge in demand for advanced satellite, sensing and communications systems. He sees a pipeline of C$40 billion over the next five years, C$10 billion which is set to include other opportunities with "government customers that are downselected MDA Space or follow-on opportunities with existing customers." He says the pipeline is split between government, defense and commercial opportunities domestically in Canada, in the U.S., and increasingly in Europe and other parts of the world, such as Southeast Asia.
