ChainCatcher 消息，据市场消息，英国上议院于周三对 Coinbase 国际政策副总裁 Tom Duff Gordon 进行质询，重点关注稳定币是否会导致银行存款流失并给英国金融系统带来新风险。
Gordon 表示，完全储备且受监管的稳定币 “比未投保的银行存款更安全”，因为它们由现金和高质量政府证券 1:1 支持，并可按面值赎回。他强调稳定币可显著降低支付成本，加速跨境支付。
英国上议院成员质疑稳定币在危机中的赎回风险、对银行的潜在影响以及在犯罪活动中的作用。Gordon 反驳称对银行脱媒的担忧 “被严重夸大”，并强调 Coinbase 严格执行 KYC 和反洗钱措施。
Innovate Finance 首席战略官 Adam Jackson 警告称，英国可能建立一个 “比欧盟 MiCA 框架更严格、竞争力更弱”的监管制度，使英国在稳定币创新竞争中落后于美国和欧洲。
