霍尔木兹海峡是全球最重要的能源咽喉要道之一，约25%的海上石油贸易经由此运输。
根据美国能源信息署(EIA)的数据，2025年第一季度，经由霍尔木兹海峡的原油和凝析油的日均运输量约为1422万桶。
其中，沙特阿拉伯是最大的出口来源国，占总量的37.2%。
伊拉克位居第二，占22.8%。阿联酋(12.9%)、伊朗(10.6%)和科威特(10.1%)均位列前五。
这五个海湾产油国合计贡献经由霍尔木兹海峡运输的原油和凝析油总量的93.6%。
另一方面，89.2%经霍尔木兹海峡运输的原油和凝析油流向了亚洲国家。
其中，中国为第一大买家，占总量的37.7%。
其他主要目的地还包括印度(14.7%)、韩国(12.0%)和日本(10.9%)。
高盛表示，若霍尔木兹海峡关闭的情况再持续五周，布伦特原油价格可能达到100美元/桶。
