Lockheed Martin received a $1.9 billion contract with the U.S. Air Force to continue providing training products and services.

The Defense Department said Tuesday the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is for the C-130J Maintenance and Training System IV, a program that has long employed Lockheed Martin's services.

The contract consists of one five-year base ordering period and one five-year option period, with an additional three years for the completion of all deliveries, the Defense Department said.

Work will be performed across bases in a number of U.S. states, as well as Germany and Japan. It is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2039.
