根据联合声明，新加坡与韩国贸易主管部门已决定，在完成各自国内程序后，启动自由贸易协定升级谈判。双方将在供应链韧性、绿色经济、贸易便利化、航空维修与大修（MRO）等领域开展合作。新加坡总理黄循财周一在与韩国总统李在明共同致辞时表示：“全球贸易格局已发生重大变化，各方更加重视供应链韧性、数字贸易与绿色转型。”“我与李总统同意升级自贸协定，确保其保持前瞻性、适用性，并惠及两国企业与劳动者。”黄循财表示，新韩两国还启动了核能合作协定谈判，并正为人工智能领域具体合作搭建双边框架。李在明正在新加坡进行访问，两国领导人共同见证了多份谅解备忘录的签署，以加强在贸易、能源安全、科技、知识产权、环境、公共安全与安保等领域的合作。注：原自贸协定于2006 年生效。
