ChainCatcher 消息，Coinbase 股东 Kevin Meehan 代表公司提起股东派生诉讼，指控 CEO Brian Armstrong 及其他高管在 2021 年 4 月至 2023 年 6 月期间发布误导性陈述，未充分披露客户资产托管风险、代币上架的证券法风险及反洗钱合规缺陷。诉讼中被点名的还包括 Coinbase 联合创始人 Fred Ehrsam、首席运营官 Paul Grewal、总裁兼首席运营官 Emilie Choi。
诉状指出，Coinbase 用户协议称托管钱包资产为“公司代客户持有的资产”，但未披露若公司破产，这些资产可能被纳入破产财产，散户用户可能沦为普通无担保债权人。同时，公司声称上币审核流程可“确保平台不出现证券”，但仍有部分代币面临证券风险。
