PsiQuantum 百万量子比特设施动工，科学家称该规模足以破解比特币加密

ChainCatcher 消息，量子计算公司 PsiQuantum 已在芝加哥启动百万量子比特量子计算设施的建设工程。PsiQuantum 联合创始人 Peter Shadbolt 于周四在 X 平台分享了施工现场照片，称六天内已搭建 500 吨钢材。

该公司此前于 9 月宣布筹集 10 亿美元用于建造该设施，与芯片制造商 Nvidia 合作，目标是使量子计算具备商业实用性，以支持下一代 AI 超级计算机。科学家表示，百万量子比特的计算能力相当于数百亿台普通计算机，足以破解比特币的加密技术。比特币开发者目前正在讨论是否通过硬分叉采取即时措施应对量子威胁。

上月发布的一篇预印本科学论文认为，破解 2048 位密钥约需 10 万量子比特，而比特币加密使用的是 256 位密钥。目前最大的量子计算机来自加州理工学院，规模为 6100 量子比特。PsiQuantum 联合创始人 Terry Rudolph 于 7 月表示，该公司没有利用量子计算机从公钥推导私钥的计划。

加密资产管理公司 CoinShares 今年 2 月的研究指出，仅有 10230 枚比特币同时具备量子脆弱性且钱包地址的加密密钥公开可见，按当前市场价格计算约为 7.28 亿美元。
