Emperor Energy Says Regulator Approves Extension of Victoria Exploration Permit by Two Years, Shares Jump to Nine-Year Peak

Emperor Energy (ASX:EMP) said its application for a two-year extension of the Vic/P47 exploration permit term was approved by the Commonwealth-Victoria Offshore Petroleum Joint Authority, as well as a 24-month extension of the Vic/P47 exploration permit year 1-3 work program commitments, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The permit duration was extended to August 2029, while the maximum timeframe requirement for drilling at the Judith-2 exploration and appraisal well was extended until August 2027.
Its shares jumped 3% in recent trading on Friday, reaching a nine-year peak.
