ChainCatcher 消息，据市场消息，加拿大温哥华市政府工作人员已建议终止一项探讨该市成为 “比特币友好城市” 的议会动议，原因是其法规不允许将比特币作为市政储备资产持有。
工作人员在报告中表示已最终确定比特币不属于允许的投资资产，并引用《温哥华宪章》指出该法规定了市政资金投向，不允许将比特币作为储备资产。
该动议于一年多前由市长 Ken Sim 提出，旨在研究接受加密货币缴税和将部分财政储备转换为比特币的可能性。不列颠哥伦比亚省城镇事务部当时就指出，根据省级规定，市政当局不能以加密货币持有财政储备，立法意图是避免地方政府资金面临不当风险。
