智通财经APP获悉，由于汽车业务亏损不断增加，日本汽车制造商本田汽车公司(HMC.US)希望加强其日本国内产品阵容，因此将从美国和中国进口汽车在其国内市场销售。
本田汽车周四宣布，将于今年下半年在日本开始销售两款美国制造的车型——Acura Integra Type S和Honda Passport TrailSport Elite。本田表示，此举是为了响应美国总统特朗普推动在日本销售更多美国汽车的号召，利用日本简化的认证体系。另据报道，本田也计划从中国进口电动汽车，这将使其成为首家在日本本土销售中国电动汽车的日本汽车制造商。
本田汽车公司在财年前九个月的汽车业务录得 1664 亿日元(11 亿美元)的营业亏损后，正在重新评估其战略，以期提高竞争力。
与电动汽车相关的支出，包括在美国销售的车辆的损失和减值以及研发资产的注销，都对本田的盈利造成了压力，而且这家汽车制造商正在被中国竞争对手以技术为中心的产品所超越。
本田也受到了美国进口关税的严重冲击，其摩托车业务现在是该公司的主要销售驱动力。
