韩国SK集团周四表示，由比尔·盖茨创立、SK集团参与投资的美国核能公司TerraPower已获得美国当局颁发的小型模块化反应堆（SMR）建设许可证。

　　SK集团与TerraPower一直保持着密切联系。2022年，SK集团的控股公司SK株式会社和SK创新株式会社共同向这家美国公司投资了2.5亿美元。

　　TerraPower表示，美国核管理委员会（NRC）已为其在怀俄明州规划的核电站颁发了建设许可证，该核电站预计将于2030年投入运营。

　　SK集团在一份声明中表示：“这是美国核管理委员会十年来首次批准新建商业核电站。”声明还指出，这也是小型模块化反应堆（SMR）的首个许可证。

　　今年1月，SK Innovation宣布已将其持有的TerraPower部分股份出售给韩国国营的韩国水力核电公司（KHNP），SK集团仍是这家美国公司的第二大股东。

　　SK集团表示，美国核管理委员会的批准意义重大，它代表着美国当局对TerraPower在小型模块化反应堆（SMR）行业技术能力的认可，这将有助于SK和韩国水力核电公司进一步拓展全球业务。

　　SK集团补充道，SK Innovation将致力于结合自身在能源领域的业务能力和KHNP在核反应堆建设和运营方面的经验，为国内外不同工业用途构建SMR生态系统。
