Major digital assets fell Thursday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) dipping below the $72,000 level.
The Nasdaq 100 fell 0.5%, the S&P 500 dropped 0.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 1.7% in the past 24 hours.
Bitcoin fell 2.9% to $71,318, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume declined 25.8% to $53.99 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, fell 3.8% to $2,092.
XRP (XRP-USD) fell 3%, BNB (BNB-USD) lost 1.6%, and Solana (SOL-USD) eased 4.3%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) shed 8.1%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) declined 3.5%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.144% at 3 p.m. ET Thursday, up from 4.075% Wednesday, while the five-year yield rose to 3.741% from 3.662%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry fell 3.1% in the past 24 hours to $2.41 trillion, with trading volume declining 21.3% to $118.24 billion.
