Australia's Goods Surplus Falls in January

Australia's goods surplus fell to AU$2.63 billion in January from AU$3.37 billion in December 2025, according to data published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.

Goods exports fell 0.9%, or AU$415 million, to AU$44.06 billion, driven by a AU$285 million decrease in other rural.

Goods imports rose 0.8%, or AU$328 million, to AU$41.43 billion, driven by a AU$1.06 billion increase in non-monetary gold.
