ChainCatcher 消息，Vitalik Buterin 在 X 平台发文表示，在以太坊共识机制讨论中，正提议将当前的最终性组件 Casper FFG 替换为新的 Minimmit。他认为 Casper FFG 采用两轮最终性机制（验证者需两次签名完成“证明”和“最终确认”），而 Minimmit 仅需一轮签名即可完成最终性。
作为权衡，Minimmit 的容错阈值将从 Casper FFG 的 33% 降至约 17%。尽管容错比例降低，但 Minimmit 在多种攻击或客户端漏洞场景下，能更大概率让网络进入“多链竞争而非错误最终确认”的状态，这种情况更容易通过社区协调恢复。他认为，相比错误区块被最终确认，短时间内不发生最终性更安全且更具可恢复性，因此认为 Minimmit 在整体安全权衡上可能更优。
