根据最新公布的方案，第三方公司仅需向谷歌注册并支付一次性费用，即可在安卓平台上开设独立的应用商店。谷歌还将原本标准为30%的开发者抽成比例，直接降至最低15%，而订阅服务的抽成比例甚至可进一步下调至10%。
与谷歌的全球性降费策略形成鲜明对比的是，苹果公司目前在中国收取的抽成比例依然高居全球榜首。这种被称为苹果税的机制，正让国内众多软件开发者承受着巨大的经营压力。有国内直播行业开发者算了一笔账：按现行30%的抽成计算，每100元的礼物收入在被苹果抽走后仅剩70元。在支付给主播收益以及投流费用、人力成本后，一个标准团队的利润空间已所剩无几。
数据显示，中国目前已成为全球范围内缴纳苹果税最高的市场，每年为苹果贡献的抽成收入接近400亿元人民币。这一庞大的资金流出，对国内移动互联网产业的盈利能力构成了直接挑战。
