据悉，这款主机与拥有独立开发环境的传统游戏机并不相同，本质上更像是一台专为游戏而生的 PC，但能够提供类似游戏机的使用体验，内置 ROG Xbox Ally 系列掌机同款的 Windows FSE 全屏体验界面，能够在简化的全屏界面中启动游戏、统一管理游戏库，减少传统 Windows 桌面的复杂操作。
同时，这台主机本质上就是 ROG Xbox Ally X 的主机版本，只不过是微软制造。并且该机并不会像历代 Xbox 那样拥有独立的开发平台，程序员们只需要使用 UWP 开发，然后把游戏上架 Microsoft Store 就行。
IT之家在此援引 SneakersSO，这台主机的价格将会相当昂贵，目标用户是非常小众的群体，面向硬核 Xbox 玩家而非传统大众市场。
