据报道，Rivian正计划凭借即将推出的R2 SUV，实现美国市场上最快的全电动车新车型上市之一。

　　如果Rivian成功，这将为公司创始人兼首席执行官RJ Scaringe所称的“也许是我们迄今推出的最重要产品”带来一个强劲的开局。

　　公司也几乎承受不起失败的代价。Rivian的未来——以及实现盈利的可能性——都取决于R2的表现。如果该车型在产量和销量提升方面遇到困难，股东可能会撤离。至少，这将引发外界对公司当前战略的质疑，即在当下投入数十亿美元资金，为未来大规模进入大众市场做准备。

　　Rivian上个月向投资者表示，预计今年将销售2万至2.5万辆R2，并计划在生产启动后，于6月开始向客户交付首批SUV。即便只达到这一目标区间的下限，其销售速度也将超过所有售价6万美元及以下的同类电动车，唯一例外是特斯拉Model Y。

　　特斯拉Model Y于2020年3月推出，仅用了大约4个月时间，销量便突破2万辆。而Rivian的目标是在约6个月内达到这一销售规模，大致与本田Prologue在2024年上市后达到这一里程碑所用的时间相当。

　　在美国市场销量最快突破2万辆的电动汽车中，速度第二快的是雪佛兰Equinox EV，该车于2024年上市，用时约8个月达成这一成绩。
