Queensland Pacific Metals Receives Council, Government Approvals for Queensland Power Station; Shares Up 7%

Queensland Pacific Metals (ASX:QPM) received a material change of use development permit from Isaac Regional Council and an environmental authority from the Queensland Government for the construction and operation of the Isaac power station, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

The approvals fulfilled project finance conditions required for the start of construction of the power station, the filing said.

The company aims to start commissioning in 2027, per the filing.

Shares rose past 7% in afternoon trade Monday.
