BUZZ-Dollar General falls on muted annual sales forecast

** Shares of discount retailer Dollar General DG.N down 3% at $140.46 premarket

** Co forecasts annual comparable sales below estimates, as bargain-hunting customers turn to other discount stores and online retailers for better deals amid economic uncertainty

** Co sees fiscal 2026 same-store sales to grow between 2.2% and 2.7% vs analysts' estimates of 2.48% - data compiled by LSEG

** Midpoint of annual EPS forecast range of $7.10 to $7.35 came largely in line with analysts' estimates of $7.21

** Q4 same-store sales rise of 4.3% beat estimates of 3.34% growth, while EPS of $1.93 beat estimates of $1.65, helped by holiday season sales

** Stock has risen ~9% YTD
