汇丰控股表示，包括交易员和销售人员等香港面向客户的员工必须要么与客户见面，要么每周五天在办公室工作，从而结束了香港一线人员在疫情期间居家办公的时代。
新要求在一份内部备忘录中概述，该备忘录还详细说明了更新后的混合工作方式，将于4月1日起生效。
此外，该备忘录称，董事总经理和有直接报告的高级职员每周至少要到办公室工作四天，而香港其他所有员工每周至少要到办公室工作三天，其中一天必须是周一或周五 ，具体取决于办公空间的可用性。
“各位人事经理，你们在推动良好实践和体验方面发挥着至关重要的作用，”这份备忘录写道。“我们希望你们以明确的指导为榜样引领变革。”
一位汇丰发言人证实了该备忘录的内容，并表示这些做法已被许多员工所接受。
