Astroscale Holdings (TYO:186A) said its subsidiary Astroscale Japan amended a contract for the REFLEX-J satellite refueling technology project, raising the first-year contract amount to 1.06 billion yen from 590 million yen, according to a Wednesday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The Japan Science and Technology Agency commissioned the project and awarded it to Astroscale in September 2025. The project has a total budget of 10.8 billion yen over a five-year period.
The revision reflects accelerated procurement of long-lead components for the servicer satellite, while the overall project budget remains unchanged.
