美国总统特朗普表示，他不认为伊朗在霍尔木兹海峡布设水雷，并再次暗示战争将很快结束。早前国际能源署（IEA）宣布紧急释放石油储备，但几乎无助于平抑波动剧烈的市场。

　　特朗普周三被问及伊朗是否已在霍尔木兹海峡布雷时对记者说：“我们不这么认为。”路透周三援引知情人士报道称，伊朗已在该航道布下约十余枚水雷。

　　不过，特朗普未就他预计冲突将于何时结束给出明确的时间表，称“我们还没结束”，美国需要继续采取“更多同样的”行动。

　　IEA周三批准史上最大规模的紧急石油储备释放，以在霍尔木兹海峡实际上仍处于关闭状态之际抑制油价飙升。法国总统埃马纽埃尔·马克龙随后表示，释储将在未来几天内组织实施。

　　美国至少已有7名军人在这场战争中死亡，其中大多数发生在交火最初两天。

　　特朗普在竞选期间承诺不会让美国陷入旷日持久的海外战争。随着美方伤亡人数的增加与汽油价格的持续高企，共和党在11月中期选举中的表现可能会承受压力。

　　据美国汽车协会（AAA）数据，周三一加仑汽油的全国平均价格升至3.58美元，为2024年5月以来的最高水平。
