Allison Transmission Holdings is expanding its work with Daimler Truck North America (DTNA).

Allison said Tuesday it will provide two advanced, fully automatic transmission offerings for one of DTNA's medium-duty truck models.

Trucks equipped with Allison's 3414 Regional Haul Series transmission paired with a diesel engine will enter production in January 2027. The transmission offering aims to improve vehicle handling, maneuverability and acceleration, Allison said.

Those with Allison 9-Speed transmission paired with an octane engine will enter production in July, the company said. The transmission offering is designed to help vehicles meet efficiency requirements and strike a balance between torque delivery and fuel-saving capabilities.
