Amazon's Middle East Data Centers at Risk Amid Iran Conflict -- Market Talk

1525 ET - Amazon's data centers in the Middle East are at risk amid the conflict between Iran and the U.S. Amazon said earlier this month it expected extended service outages following drone attacks on three of its data centers in the Middle East. The data centers power Amazon Web Services, Amazon's cloud platform which provides infrastructure to develop and deploy artificial intelligence. The U.S. military is increasingly working with AI companies. On Tuesday, Anthropic filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration, alleging the Pentagon retaliated after Anthropic refused to provide certain AI tools to the military for certain uses.
