Constellation Software CEO: Well-Positioned to Navigate AI -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Mar 09

1034 ET - Constellation Software CEO Mark Miller says artificial intelligence has created "real noise in the market" and disrupting the sector, but he says the company is well-positioned. In an earnings call, Miller points to growing cross-portfolio collaboration and said AI-enabled coding is quickly becoming standard across the business. "We're just in the process of bringing everyone up to speed," he says. Early gains from small language models are emerging, and the company is working more closely with major AI providers to modernize platforms in markets it knows well. Miller says that Constellation's fundamentals and its capital-allocation discipline remain intact, though every deal now carries an "AI lens" to assess risk and upside. The technology may be new, he says, but the pace of change will be the real shift. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
